FORGED THROUGH TIME

RIFFS, SCARS, FAITH, AND SURVIVAL

For Rodney D., the music did not begin in 2026.

It began decades ago with notebooks, cassette tapes, guitar riffs, lyrics, sketches, prayers, sermon notes, band names, and ideas that refused to disappear.

Before RDY or Not became a public project, there was a lifetime of music waiting in the wings. Songs written in bedrooms, riffs recorded to tape, lyrics carried through military service, faith, family, loss, survival, and the long seasons of real life.

Rodney D. is a songwriter, guitarist, veteran, follower of Christ, husband, father, historian, and storyteller. For over 40 years, he has carried songs, riffs, lyrics, and ideas — some written in his youth, some shaped by faith, some marked by scars, and some born out of the battles people carry quietly.

RDY or Not is where that Archive finally opens.

This is not about chasing fame. It is about bringing the music to life while there is still time to share it. It is about honoring the stories behind the songs, the people who shaped them, and the battles that left a mark.

The sound is rooted in heavy music, grit-driven metal, faith, survival, and memory. The mission is simple: stories lived, songs written, music unleashed.

Modern AI-assisted audio tools help give these songs a voice, but the soul of the project comes from Rodney D. — the concepts, lyrics, riffs, direction, arrangement, production choices, and lived experience behind the music.

RDY or Not is more than a name. It is the sound of the Archive catching up with the future.

The songs waited long enough.
